Our Client

With over 20 years experience in civil construction and engineering, our client specialises in guardrail design, installation and maintenance, roading, earthworks and drainage construction. Furthermore, our client takes great pride in being the preferred contractor to the Auckland motorway alliance. They also have the ability to complete all aspects of civil works for the private and government sectors, including drainage, infrastructure, earthworks, subdivisions and retaining walls.

 

The Opportunity


Our client is seeking a Working Foreman to join their company in Papakura, NZ with the opportunity to earn over $60,000pa ($30 per hour negotiable on experience) + receive a company vehicle! 

The primary purpose of this position is to effectively ensure that the project targets and operations are met daily and comply with all health and safety regulations. 

Alongside ensuring the smooth implementation of site operations, some of your responsibilities will include:


  • Managing the site works including liaising with the client on daily activities
  • Confirming that each work site is resourced correctly 
  • Ensuring all site H&S and environmental controls are in place and effective at all times
  • Ensuring plant and equipment inspections are completed and maintenance undertaken where required
  • Be proactive to confirm the work completed meets the client’s stated requirements and specifications 

To be successful in this role you will have previous foreman experience and be able to lead by working alongside the team. Additionally, you will possess a WTR license, a Class 2 license and will be proficient in the use of Excavators (5-8 tonne). 

Furthermore, having a Class 4 license as well as first aid/safety training would be highly advantageous. 

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have comprehensive industry knowledge.
