Mercy Community Services (MCS) has supported children, young people, families and the Queensland community for over 100 years. Our Aged Care Services are currently located in south-east Queensland and provide residential aged care, community and specialty care for dementia and those whose needs include palliation, ageing disability and complex clinical care.

The Role

MCS have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and strategically focused, Senior Manager of Operations to lead the Aged Care Services team through, and beyond, a crucial organisational transition and growth period.  

Reporting to the General Manager - Retirement Living & Aged Care, the Senior Manager Operations is responsible for the innovative delivery of quality Aged Care Services, whilst ensuring programs are delivered in an efficient manner congruent with service agreements, business and strategic plans, and regulatory requirements .

This role will play an integral part in leading operational service delivery and strategic planning for service expansion. MCS is projecting a significant growth journey over the next few years and this role is pivotal to supporting the successful achievement of our goals.

To be successful you will:

  • be degree qualified in Health or Human Services

  • have a minimum of 5 years experience within the Health or Community Services industry

  • with 3 years experience in a senior leadership role

  • be a values driven professional with outstanding relationship development skills and able to drive the growth of the business forward

The successful applicant must have the ability to provide effective operational and strategic leadership within an aged care services context, build and maintain strong collaborative relationships, and exhibit highly developed business development and negotiation skills.

This Full-time position offers a competitive remuneration and you will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits available. This role also comes with the ability to salary sacrifice motor vehicle as an additional benefit. Reasonable relocation costs may also be offered for the suitable applicant should this be required.
